This Site has been developed to keep older, (and non playing) members of Old Actonians Rugby Club up to date with the Band of Brothers that is The Old Oaks Veterans.

This corner of the internet will also serve as a focal point for all ex members to pass on details of get-togethers, reunions or any special event that may involve beer.

If it’s one thing that Old Actonians can do, besides lose a game in the first fifteen minutes because we were too busy cracking jokes whilst getting changed, finishing off that third Guinness or losing the kit/the front row/John Dory’s underpants down the A3, then it’s knocking back a jug or two.

So if you’ve any news, gossip, or deep secret that’s been troubling you since that tour to Amsterdam and you just HAVE to confess to a trusted mate in the strictest confidence, then point your mouse over to the left and make your way to The Bar! where your favourite pint and a meat pie awaits!

Make sure you pop into the The Bar! to post comments and visit the Events page as there may be some important stuff for your attention.

This site is new, so any problems you find, links, browser issues, suggestions you feel you need to see here, then let us know. E Mail ::snoid@oarfcvets.co.uk

01 March 2008

This year the Vets are under the all seeing eye of Stuart “BedHead” Barclay with the same format as we play as the Old Actonian Occasionals.

This allows us to play youngsters in the side without the oppo complaining “We’re not a Vets side”.Apart from that Saturdays are unchanged, we turn up, we play, we moan ,we get drunk!

So if any of you fancy a run out contact Stuart : stuart.swb@googlemail.com
